Ok so when I tried to accept my housing offer by clicking on 'make initial payment,' it said, "Our records indicate that you are under 18 years of age. Your parent/legal guardian will need to sign your housing contract and mail to:

Housing Accounts Receivable
360 De Neve Dr.
Los Angeles, CA 90095-1383."

but i just clicked ok and next anyway and got to choosing my meal plan.

so my question is, do i accept my offer online or do i need to send it through the mail. i don't get what they mean by having a parent sign your "housing contract" and sending it to ucla. what if i don't send the parent signature thing?

If you are under 18 and you plan on living on campus, you have 7 days after you accepted your housing offer to send them this with your parent's signature.

really? do i still need to accept the housing offer online first and pay initial payment, meal plan? then after i do that, i need to send them that contract with my parents' signature?

Yes you need to the pay the intial payment first + meal plan (due by June 1 so hurry). Then you have to send them the housing contract with parent signature (or you're own signature if you are 18+) to the address.

What do you mean by: "you have to send them the housing contract with parent signature (or you're own signature if you are 18+) to the address"?

If you accepted the housing offer online, do you still have to print it out and sign it if you're 18+?

It should say after you are done accepting your offer and done paying for housing + meal plans. This is what mine says:

Our records indicate that you are under 18 years of age. You have accepted your offer on-line; however, you will need to print out the Housing Contract and have your parent/legal guardian sign it and return it to the Housing Accounts Receivable Office within the next 7 days. The mailing address:

Housing Accounts Receivable Office
360 De Neve Dr.
BOX 951383
Los Angeles, CA 90095-1383

I am assuming that you would still have to print that page out (the one I posted in the 2nd post), sign it, and send it to the address above. It does say they need a signature for Student (Parent or Guardian if under 18).

My d is still 17 so I have to submit the parent signed housing contract by mail together with the initial payment. I was advised by Housing one can also make payment online and mail the contract.

caligirl, when you sign in, does it automatically log you out since you paid already or does it have any red asterisk about approval of your payment? Otherwise, I would call this phone number:

(310) 206-7011 (housing)

to get it cleared. (Which is what I did...)

hey for the housing contract, do you or your parents sign it? i'm looking at it and the only place where they ask you to sign is your signature, date, university ID, and print name. is it YOUR signature, your PRINT NAME or do your parents sign this section? or do your parents not have to sign anything at all, you just have to sign the contract and send it in?

I forgot who signs it, I think my parents signed mine. I just remember putting my ID number on it...I'd give them a call tomorrow morning right before sending it off if I were you.

Neoyoyo, it's the same way when I sign in--I get the under 18 pop up message, but then there are no options to accept again. I guess I'll call them tomorrow.

so our parents sign it. do they print their name under the "PRINT NAME" label or do we print our names? i know we put our university ID's on the bottom.

what I did is have my mom sign it, then under "print name" I wrote "Student:" and my name and then "Parent:" and her name. Figured that'd be as safe as possible. By checking the site, I see that mine has gone through.
