A lot of students don't like the new math SAT

It is the only part that is much different from the ACT, except for the essay. I have had several students tell me they want to work on the ACT, because they don’t like the statistics and long word problems on the new test. From a marketing standpoint, they are appealing to colleges by making it relevant to what you need for college classes, but it seems to turn off even more some of the students who didn’t like the old SAT math.

I agree. Also, I don’t know if its just my schools curriculum but a lot of the math is stuff I am now just learning in my pre calculus class

It definitely helps to have precalc and stat. This is a reversal from the pre-2004 SAT where almost everything could be done with prealgebra, or at least algebra I and geometry.
