A Message for Every Columbia ED Applicant

Hey, I know a lot of you guys are waiting for decisions anxiously, and I guess some of you will be really disappointed if you don't get in, but here's what I want to say:

I'm an international applicant and I don't have a high SAT score (2100+); I know there's almost no possibility of me getting accepted. At first I was very disappointed with my score and with myself. Every time I saw other students' 2300 or 2400 SAT score I felt like I was so stupid and not as good as others. But then I realized that one should never be controlled and judged by the so-called "standards". Scores, great schools, careers with high salaries, or any "lifetime success". Just be yourself, be brave, always believe in your own uniqueness, and enjoy your life.

So if you get rejected, you can be frustrated for a while, but always believe in yourself and cheer up!!!

Thanks for the message! Good Luck!

There will be a lot of admits in the 2100+ range and many above that who are not offered admission. Columbia is looking for more than mere standardized test scores. Don’t count yourself out. Best of luck to all!

As Glido said, scores aren’t anywhere near everything. The big time schools like Columbia know your smart…what matters is what you’ve done.

And…GOOD LUCK!!!

Thank you guys sooooo much… Good luck to you all!!!
