a non-boring story thread

Bump…;)

Haha, Toyotas rule! Why break away? The new Lexus isn’t bad, but I like the 2004-2008 models a little better. We have looked for a RX 330/350 for my sister this summer. We currently have 1 Toyota, 1 Lexus, & 1 BMW. Hummer H3s are really cool, but how is the Hummer dealer(s) in your area doing right now? Ours are struggling mightily, so better watch out. Wranglers are pretty cool, but get somthing luxurious! Maybe a used Benz? ;)

I like German and American cars the best. My dad swears by Japanese durability though. I think my sisters Lexus is a 2004, btw. As for my first car, if I did get a Mercedes of course it would be used, probably ML series, and maybe a BMW x5. A lot of kids in my school have either x5 or x3’s though. I’ve also been looking at used Cayenne’s. But the only new car my dad would buy for me is either a 4runner, H3, or a Jeep. I still dont know if I should get used or new … :(

German & Japanese are best IMHO right now, but in like 5 years if GM & Ford continue this vast improvement in quality in the long-run, I will trust them again. Haha, the 60s will always be the best years for American cars no matter what anybody says!

Toyota’s quality hs slipped slightly because they’d prefer to trail GM/Ford in global sales so they look better to Americans (well, I think so), so they are slipping. The design teams seem to have gotten lazy & they need to step it up (maybe new people designed the latest crop). My sister drives an X5 and loves it! So do I…

My old school was full of M3s for guys and sports cars (like lesser-powered 3 series BMW & small Benzes) for girls. They were all so preppy, but a bit snobbish. X5 >> ML, but I’ve been partial to BMW my whole life haha! Used ML should be good choice, but check the year for reliability record. I know of people who have had issues, maybe flukes? Be VERY CAREFUL w/ used Cayennes, as I looked into those as well, but they (sometimes) seem to have quirky vibrations, bad non-metallic paint quality, etc. but it depends on the year. Check out Cayenne forums for more info:

I’m getting my sister’s X5 or used 4runner, which isn’t bad at all to me. My new school has no “flashy” cars, except for a Range Rover & 5 series BMW (just one lol). Oh, and 1 X5 ;)

M3s! Oh I would kill to own one. But for me: mercedes > BMW, anyday! But of course Audi over both of them, IMO. Almost every BMW in my school is a 3 series. My school is kinda littered with luxury cars (large private school). We have some jaguars, mercedes, some japanese luxury cars: lexus, acuras, infinitis too. Last year, two seniors who graduate each had a corvette and even a freakin maybach!

Oh and as for the Cayenne, my friends sister had one leased, I was talking to her about it, she said she hated it, returned it within a few weeks. I should ask her what the problem was.

Btw, you know a ridiculous amount of information about cars! :)

Haha, I can easily tell who goes to my old school when I see the young WASPy-guy wearing a Northface, Raybans, Sperrys, Searsuckers, khaki shorts, Polo anything, Lacoste, etc. haha!

They modded their M3s, and I looooove those cars! I can see where you prefer Benz over BMW, my sister wa the same way until she got an X5  My old school was the same way, as we had Jag, Benz, BMW, Audi, Acura, Hummer, Land Rover, etc. anything expensive! I can’t believe the Corvette & Maybach, are you kdding me? That’s unbelievable, only topped by a Rolls Royce IMHO! That’s ridiculous.

One guy had a 2nd house in Atlanta and was Ludacris’ neighbor! He said Luda was soooo down-to-earth for all of the wealth he had accrued. Some parents drove Maserati, Bentley, Aston Martin. Porsche, BMW, Benz, Lexus, Audi, Jag, Land Rover, etc. were almost necessary to fit, as that was what everybody drove haha.

Yeah, be very careful with the Cayenne, I’ve heard that metallic paint is a must(otherwise it peels), pre- '06 is risky, options are ridiculous expensive, and service is quite pricey. I love that car, but it seems to be a lot of trouble. Oh, thanks! I have been studying this stuff for like 10 years, so I have had plenty of practice! :D

Yea private schools kids are pretty spoiled like that, I like to think I’m not. Every year we get atleast one outrageous car though, I think the other year it was a Bentley. I’m actually pretty excited to see what cars will be in the parking lot next year! And for some strange reason, I don’t think anyone in my school has ever had an Audi, it would be amazing if I was the first one!

Haha, that’s pretty sick! Wow, a kid w/ Bentley, Maybach, Corvette…but no Audis? Wow, people most seriously overlook them in NJ or something! Would be cool, if you were the only one, but you would have no Audi buddies haha :D

I’d reign supreme over the dubbers. Well you dont call them that, VW’s! :)

Haha, I’ll start calling VWs ‘dubbers’ just so no one will know what I’m saying! :D

You can start a trend! Oh, btw, seems kinda dumb but anyway … do you call BMW beemers? lol.

Oh yeah, when I’m lazy I call BMW bimmers. We absolutely use that term. In fact “beemers” refers to BMW Motorcycles. I will def start a dubbers trend lol! I’m such a car nerd…

I feel kinda silly calling BMW’s beemers though. Same with calling Mercedes, just benz. Idk, sounds so awkward when I say it.

Haha, I sound like a car snob, but you incorrectly spelled “bimmer.” Bimmer refers to BMW’s automotive division. Beemer refers to BMW motorcycle lol! I’m being to picky, it does not matter . I type Benz just because it requires less effort  I use bimmer when I’ve said BMW too many time sin a conversation & need to swich it up. Plus, it’s a bit easier to say. Hey, where’s lost, SS, fairy_dreams, and rchhay?

Oh idk, i pronounce it how i say it. Bimmer … yea the car, lol. SS is in the chat, which I’m not really posting in. And I think I saw fairy_dreams in there earlier, not sure. Lost, hasnt been on aim, and rchhay well I have no idea.

Haham it’s slightly stupid. Bimmer & beemer are pronounced the same way, yet spelled differnetly. CC seems really empty tonight, what’s going on?

Just what I was thinking. I like CC better than CCislulz, that place is going strong now though. I still like posting though! :)

Haha, tell everybody hi for me haha! I’ll be off for a while, just because I’m ging to watch Supercars Exposed on TV for a lil’ bit…unless it’s a bad episode. TTYL in a few minutes (during commercials)!!! :D

haha, alright. ttyl. have fun. :)

Thanks, be back in 10-15 minutes! :)

dreamer, i’m going to bed now. so sleepy. i usually take naps, I didnt today. :(. Night. TTY tomorrow, maybe?
