Yep, those stats would be nice. And if anyone else that as gotten accepted to Williams and has recieved substantial financial-aid could post their stats, it would be helpful. Grazie, fellow CC-peeps! :D

mvleeabc: my god, that's awesome.. speechless..
so i guess that's how good i have to be to get in.

supernal_being-- the finaid packaged received has absolutely nothing to do with how badly Williams wants you, so you should compare yourself to anyone who got into Williams, not just those receiving aid.

don't mean to offend you, supernal_being, but I'm surprised nobody's commented on your GPA... it might hurt your chances a little

Hahah! Yeah, dude, it is strange how no one has commented on my GPA. I know it's not the greatest, and it's my dark hole. The entire is screwed up of why my GPA is messed up. I mean, look, check out the chronological order of my High School Career:

9th, stayed at home for 7 months, 9th, 10th, 11th, 10th, 11th, and finally 12th. Yep, funky, no? Well, it's cuz we moved from Houston, to India, to Venezuela. Weird admission schedules and what not. That entire thing just destroyed my GPA. I never got a chance to settle down and actually LEARN at one place. Plus, I went to a really ghetto school in India where they taught English in Hindi... I had never been taught in Hindi before, and that screwed me over. So, truthfuly, I don't think my High School truly began until the second time I was in 11th grade.

I see... you know what, I'm kinda in a similar situation myself.

I got kicked out of my old school in England coz we couldn't pay the fee any more, so I had to come back to Korea. I was in 9th grade then. My parents knew that I would't fit into normal Korean schools (and so did I) so after about 3 months of waiting at home I got into my current school which is one of something like the three non-international (that you don't have to hold a foreign passport) schools in Korea where they have curriculum designed to get people into American colleges.

But in doing so, I found myself suddenly placed in 11th grade (well Korean school year starts in March so I'll be putting my app thru next year) coz that was the only available place - so basically I skipped something like 1 1/2 years of high school. The competition here is killing me too; you have to have been in the top 2% nationally during middle school to just apply to this place. And to make things even worse, half the mandatory subjects are taught/tested in Korean. I have no problem with Korean in everyday life but when it comes to writing an essay, I just fall over. My GPA was great back in England (not that anybody cared about it there) but you can just guess what it's like now. Ah well...
