<p>I don’t think they can see anything other than the recommendation they upload for you…</p>
<p>Not at our high school. Some hand holding privates may be different. </p>
<p>A year ago, before we started this whole college application process, I would have said “absolutely, unequivocally no.” But, now as we get a sense of what goes on behind the curtain, I would not be too sure of anything and not too surprised if there is a way that they can find out.</p>
<p>One way to think about it is - it is technology; you access it through the Internet; the common app people are not thinking like the corporate security people; ergo, assume anything you write can be seen by someone you may not want to see it. </p>
<p>Chances may be small, but the common app is not Fort Knox and is prone to errors of one sort or another. Authentication viewing errors would be the easiest to have happen.</p>
