A thread about :/

Where did you find your info? pm me, harvey can’t know.

Ughh I also tried simply Googling  but I epic-failed. Damn itt!

Time to Google “how to Google smilies” ;)

^ Someone is REALLY bored.

^ Yes indeed. :(

Haha I did the google cc search.

I don’t think that works…

it does… I just tried.

^Now try it without including the ‘:/’

I only use :\ . Tons of people I know use  …I never realized it was supposed to be a CC thing. I use :\ interchangeably with :S , but I think the latter is too IM-y and horrible sometimes.

^ I learned it from Warts, but it must be common enough that facebook chat formats it ( >:O ).

Hijack: what is the difference between oO and Oo?

I also enjoy -_-, which people use when they are mildly dissatisfied with you

I tend to use == over -- , since it demonstrates the constant presence of eyebags.

I think Oo vs. oO is just a matter of typing preference. I usually use the former (when I use that emoticon at all), but I think it’s just got something to do with whether you prefer to use the shift key first or second.

Hijack! Living in Asia, I have kind of a warped view of this, so- do you guys use Asian smileys often? I mean, the kind we’ve just been talking about: -- , Oo , T_T , etc.

i started using -- & o0 [the number 0, not the capital O…for the look of added craziness]
quite often, but am still annoyed when other people use the legit asian smileys:
T_T (as you have said), X], XD, X), etc.
…idk, just bothers me : P

do people use  or ^^

I use  when I feel special.

XD is an Asian smiley? No way! I always thought it was a…white-people smiley.

I don’t use ^_^. Kingdom of Loathing scared me away from it.

(You’re fighting an Anime Smiley

This innocent combination of Shift+6 and the underscore has somehow mutated into a freakish grinning face. OMG kawaiiiii!!!111!)

^_^ is such an innocent face…how are you scared of that? xD

“do people use  or ^^”

those are annoying, as well :]

lol why? ^_^

^___________^ Yutanari-Moe is Vely Ronery.

:/ is older than the internet. Its been around for like 10 years

oh, and I know that the internet is older than that - its a saying.
