A to Z: What To Bring To College

"are you planning on going to the moon or something?"

Wow. You're so clever and insightful! Seeing as we're in mid-October and everyone has long done their school shopping, nonetheless. And that no one even needs to read this list anymore, seeing as they usually have better things to do than read over lists so they can post "witty" replies deriding it several months after it was posted.

You've got super timing and a rather clever mind kenneth! Aren't you a bright one? I'm sure people who have finished their college shopping a month and a half ago will care bundles about whatever you have to say!

well, i still got about half a year since im a hs senior this year.. and come on, whos gonna bring like gatorade and stuff...

"well, i still got about half a year since im a hs senior this year"

Oh really? Well, I suppose you can make snide comments about what people are going to pack when they go to college, since you probably haven't even turned in your own college applications yet. note the sarcasm, if you can

"and come on, whos gonna bring like gatorade and stuff..."

Are you saying no one is going to want to have their favorite drinks around when they're in college? Ooohhh, right. You're just some senior kid who doesn't actually know *****.

Hey Kenneth, after you spend your first month in college, please come back and read your comments on this thread again. Trust me, you'll feel pretty stupid then.

so much?are the rooms big ebough for all this?

i would have never thought of band-aids until it was too late.

I just realized that there is a very important thing not listed for those who don't have a kitchen but at least a microwave: HOT POCKETS!

Without them, I would starve.

um kenneth, as a hs senior I don't think you should be commenting on whether COLLEGE students need this stuff. which they absolutely do.

"who's gonna bring a toothbrush anyway?" um, just about everybody

"who's gonna bring gatorade?" yeah everybody (who likes gatorade) has that too, including me

you don't just bring the big stuff to college. it's the little stuff that you need the most and will regret not having if you don't bring it.

WOW..... that list was very helpful!!! and i do agree that its the little things that you cant do without... like a toothbrush ..... i could do without a computer more than i could without my toothbrush!!!!

I'd bring gatorade because it's so much cheaper buying it in bulk at the Costcos near my house haha

gatorade ???

thank you so much for this list... it's sooooo helpful!

Note to self: Remind myself of this before moving ino dorm room

I thought of somethin Play Station 2. It plays videogames, CD's and DVD's.

I will be looking at that list in a few months again. Some of those stuff I didn't even think of, but are very usefull. Thanks.

bring two groups of towels. one group in a light color and one group in a dark color.

That way if you need to do a light color wash, you can also wash your light color towels, but if you need to do a dark color wash, you can include your dark color towels.

Also, big "body towels" or beach towels are great alternatives for guys who refuse to use a bathrobe when going from shower to room.

Just heard that "Wrinkle Release" spray is great to unwrinkle clothes.

I think this will be extremely usefull for me when I go to college this summer/fall.

I would like to add wrinkle spray (I hate ironing. I avoid it at all costs) and, stuffed animal, because I have an obsession with stuffed animals.

Oops sorry, didn't see jlauer95's comment. I use wrinkle spray at home, even now (I'm still in HS) and it works very well. I can't see why it would be any different in college. That stuff is magical!

this is what I found

that is a fantastic list! I'm glad it's on here. I'll be looking at it, editing and adding my own essentials in the months to come! thanks!
