540 words...

Whoa mine was like 300 max

fiddle with the margins and change the font around... my pg 217 was over 900 words... lol i kno i kno, but hey i got in so i guess they liked it.

My Why Penn essay was a little less than a page single spaced 12 font. My friend looked at it before writing his for RD and said that it was complete BS. My 1st experience essay was a page with 11 font and about 1/4 of an inch taken off the bottom margin. I did not get into Penn or Chicago for my essays, SAT scores, or grades. Hell, I still dont know how I got into either college, but thats not important now.

There are lots of legacies rejected ED. Lots are deferred too. If I was deferred, I was plaining to convert my birthday and Christmas presents to donations to Penn and take the trip up to Philly and actually do the legacy interview. All that may have boosted my chances a little.

Dulce, how can your feelings for a college do a complete 180 just from a defferal? You applied ED so you were obviously ready to go. Most peopel in your position would either work their asses off to get in RD, forget about it and move on, or give up on getting in for Fall 2007 and work on transfering or getting in for grad school. Why so much hate?

I thought they judged the "one page" thing based on one page on the print preview on the app.. in which case mine looked pretty tiny on it. But even in Word, I was like... four or so lines over, twelve font, no margin adjustments?
