So, I've been trying for years (as in I try for a few days and wait a year...three times) to shed my abdominal fat! I'm not really sure how to.

I've heard that it's 100% diet to at least get the fat off and muscles areonly exposed once the fat is gone; muscle can't do anything.

Does anybobdy have success!? I don't have much just a little flab but it's annoying I Want to fit into a tight tee-shirt and be like WEE! I can do this and not be flabby!!!!

It's more like 75% diet. Building muscle (weightlifting) will actually boost your overall metabolism, because muscle burns more calories just sitting around, and it will make it much easier to lose fat (and make you look better when you do).

To lose fat, you need to eat less calories than you burn each day. Make sure that most of your cals are coming from protein and healthy fats, don't eat carbohydrates after around 3:00, and do not cheat (and if you need to cheat, make sure it's planned for in advance and that you cheat with the type of food you eat, not calorie intake - you can undo a week's work this way).

When you work out, going for high-intensity intervals and shorter rest periods works better than long jogs. Try doing a series of sprints on the treadmill instead of running for a few miles. Lift higher-rep (like 3 sets of 12) and keep break times between sets minimal (1 minute or so).

Weigh yourself every week on a scale to track progress, and remember to have fun!
