About Payment Plans

Hi, I have a few questions about installing a payment plan. How do I install one? I mean, when I tried, the site asked me to manually enter the amount that I will be paying this upcoming year. What if I decide to change my meal plan half way, or change anything that could affect my annual tuition later on? Will the payment plan still reflect on those changes?

I guess what I don't like is that the system is not automated. I'm still in the midst of Loan applications, and I don't have a clear idea of how much I will be paying each year. Does that mean I have to wait until I find that exact number before installing the plan? If I use my estimate cost, will it be able to adjust to the actual cost later on?

Thanks

It would be best to wait until you have an exact number. My suggestion is to include the tuition fee, student activities, health insurance, etc into account. For the dining stuff, just pay them in one payment. So, if you need to upgrade, then just pay the extra fee.

You can adjust the amount you will be paying at any time, and it will adjust your monthly payments.

I suggest if you are still unsure, to overestimate your payments, and end up with a refunded credit, than the other way around.

Im also planning to do the installment plan but i have hard time finding some info on this. will i be able to sign up for the installment payment later say around early august?

@ys1210: you might want to see this page: [Cornell University: Cornell Installment Plan](Cornell Installment Plan | Cornell University Division of Financial Services)

I think it is possible to sign up in early August (tuition fee is due on August 7th), BUT it takes a couple days for them to approve it, so BE AWARE of that.
