About research papers

Is it OK if you submit a research paper after the deadline? Is it taken into account? I'm involved in a research project and I'll do a research paper as part of it, but it will be ready by late December, I think.

And another question: is it compulsory to be a pdf file? If so, how did you do it? As far as I'm concerned, not anybody can write a pdf file.

If you have a mac, you can turn any file into a pdf file from the print menu. I'm not sure how you do it on a pc - but I think you can go to Adobe and download an add on for Windows systems that allows you to turn docs into pdf files (but you still won't be able to edit pdf files unless you buy Adobe Acrobat is my guess).

See:

which can create a pdf from your PC file. The software is free (with adds).

I submitted my paper after the deadline (well actually, only the abstract and reviewer comments), and I'm pretty sure they considered it (at least for scholarships).

I sent them as several Word documents.
