An uneducated population would not be a good recruiting base for today’s US military service, particularly the roles that require more knowledge and critical thinking skills. Nor would it be able to design the technology that today’s US military uses to make itself effective.

I love education. I have kids in expensive schools. I understand the necessity. I still want to pay less for it.
