<p>Silver Plan for us - thank you all for the info.- son just about had me talked into Unlimited. The ONLY part of leaving for college that’s stressing him out is fretting about not getting enough to eat, LOL. I promised him (after reading all these posts) that I would NOT let him starve, and we would upgrade if necessary.</p>
<p>Unlimited is 1757 a semester + 300 dining dollars</p>
<p>Silver is 1350 a semester + 300 dining dollars</p>
<p>So, about a $400 dollar difference!!! per semester! </p>
<p>10 meals a week is really the most a typical kid is going to eat in a dining hall. frankly, few are even going to each that second meal on Friday in a dining hall. From Friday night to Sunday afternoon, many kids are eating off campus. It is a “tradition” of sorts for a good number of kids to eat in the dining hall Sunday night (that 10th meal).</p>
<p>The 300 a semester in DD provides:</p>
<p>33 meals @ $9 each</p>
<p>or </p>
<p>15 meals @ $9 each
33 snack/drinks @ $5 each</p>
<p>Then, if you were to give your child that $400 difference, that buys another 44 meals @ $9 each off campus.</p>
