For the first check box, the teacher is supposed to check how did you achieve good grades. Are all of them considered good?
Is the "by grade consciousness" and "virtue of memory" considered good things? Do any of you guys know what your teachers checked off?

The point of the recommendation is an honest evaluation from a source other than yourself. If we were to tell you, or even knew, which ones are looked upon most favorably, and you directed your teacher to check those off, it would ruin the integrity of the evaluation. Not that it's not already questionable since you seem to have such an input on what your teacher says. To answer your question, really, I don't know (and i never glanced at a single of my recommendations), but I don't think it matters. You should concern yourself with aspects of the application that you're supposed to control, such as your essay, and leave the extra work of the recommendations to your teachers to figure out.

Go pebbles! :D

My teachers did their recommendations a long time ago, in fact, they're already mailed. I'm just wondering out of curiosity, not that I would or even could change anything. Please don't assume things when you don't know the whole story.

Besides, who the heck asks teachers for recommendations this time of the year, 3 days before the due date when no one is in school?

I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, but I don't appreciate it when you assume that i have no integrity based on nothing.

yea i just gave them to my teachers with my part filled out. i never really saw what the questions were. I had enough to worry about already.

well, I did :o

hahaha i hope the rec turns out okay

lol I hope you are talking about just the checklist part or else you better get your teachers a big present ;)

Oh, sorry if you were offended by my post. If you hang around here long enough, you'll encounter so many people who make threads almost identical to this one who ARE actually writing their own recommendations or filling out their own evaluation check lists. You get sick of it after a while and jump to conclusions.

Anyways, we just chatter, none of us really knows the answers to your questions or cares so much to wonder ;)

wow people get to write their own recommendations and let teachers sign? That would defeat the whole purpose of it. I wouldn't even want to do that even if I had the chance to. It just wont feel right to brag about myself lol
