above average students with above average family income, no SCHOLarships

I am being postive. You're judging me by a message board? I have no need to conform to what you want for me. You don't know what I've been through, and you are acting like you're a friend of mine. You're not. So you're saying I'm a failure and these other people are "successes". I don't define the person I am based on other people. I won't change who I am because you don't like me. I've been made fun almost everyday of my 16 years, and I no longer have the energy to fight back...so insult me as you will

not to be mean, celebrian, but I think I can guess why you can't seem to find a way to earn some $$$$......you have 3300+ posts here in about 5 months??? That's waaaayyyy too much time spent staring at a monitor. Step away from the computer and live your life!

I do live my life. I never said I was trying to earn money, and I'm not sure why everyone thinks that. Secondly, I can spend my time how I choose. Don't you think I would be getting lower than a 3.8 if I spent so much time here. I'm here at very specific times.

sorry, i guess a lot of us thought that when you first posted to this thread you were looking for some suggestions for funds...both scholarships (free money) and $$ from actually getting off the couch and earning it. my mistake in not realizing that you really only wanted a place to whine.

I didn't. All I did was make one comment, and suddenly the entire thread is about me. The purpose of this thread was for those students who wouldn't be recieving much aid of any kind. And I am looking for scholarships, I just don't want to work during the school year, due to how low it dropped my grades.

Well, I also apologize for offering advice where it was clearly not wanted. I thought that the issue was procuring funds for summer programs and college. Silly me. However, lots of good advice was offered, and maybe somebody out there can make use of it. (I certainly heard some great work ideas that had not occurred to me!)

I respond to posts whether or not I think the questioner actually wants an answer for reponses like yours lkf.
This is a fairly general public message board. We don't know each other IRL, and we only can respond to the slice of personality that is presented to us. If someone gets something out of the advice and information that is presented here Fantastic!
Who cares if it isn't the person that it was originally intended for?
It is fine to whinge if you are clear about you just want a space to vent- but it is annoying when people * pretend* to others and themselves that they are looking for suggestions, when they really just want to *****.
