Absence of response to post - is that the answer?

I recently posted the following (sorry don't know how to include the link) and it has had 70-something views and not a single response. Makes me worry that my interest isn't matched by the CMC student body. If that is true, CMC won't be for me. Thoughts?

Title: Which music groups/performers have been to the consortium?

Can someone please tell me what types of music groups or performers come to any of the 5Cs? For example, other schools had Kid Cudi, Maroon 5, etc last year.

Also, is this like a one time event at the 5Cs or are there several times/year when there are concerts, etc? Are there particular campus carnivals, fairs, celebrations each year?

Thanks!

Lots of us click on posts because we’re curious, and then have nothing to say. We don’t know anything about which musicians have visited CMC. Don’t assume that CMC isn’t for you just because the wrong people are viewing your thread. How about making a better thread title?

Your college decision is going to be based on the type, number and perceived quality of bands performing on campus?

If only the college decision was so simple! No, it isn’t what will make the college decision, but live music is important to me and I do feel like knowing this information can help me to learn some about the student culture and interests outside of academics and athletics. More of a curiosity than a need, but the absence of a response had me wondering. I do understand the comments from above, I’ve been known to browse myself.

I’m overnighting soon so I guess I can ask around then.

Thanks

Hey cbcbsj:

I’ve only been at CMC for a little over a year, but there is a John Legend concert this Friday. Last semester we had B.o.B. and Lupe Fiasco. The trend seems to be there’s at least one big show per semester.

If live music is important to you avoid the 5C’s. The one or two (if you’re lucky) performances from B to B+ list performers are pretty unsatisfying.
