Is there like some sort of academic decathlon-ish or Science Olympiad competitions at colleges in general? And do they some sort of program like that at UCLA? Because the I love competing in high school and was wondering if I can compete in college as well ;)

There's Quiz Bowl, which I plan on joining (assuming I don't have a change of heart about UCLA) when I get there. Quiz Bowl is like Jeopardy, but in teams. I've been playing it in high school (in fact, I just attended a UCLA hosted tournament this month,) so I have a bit of a background, but here's a link to their website so you can see if you're interested: http://quizbowl.bol.ucla.edu/

Oh thats neat. Is there like more of a science competition? I'm more into that kind of general subject.

If you're an engineering major, there's a variety of science/engineering/mathematics competitions that UCLA competes in (ACM ICPC, DARPA Grand Challenge, Microsoft Imagine Cup, etc.) that might pique your interest. We compete at the collegiate level both regionally and internationally.
