Academic Dishonesty Charge But Innocent. chances of successful appeal?

my professor accused me and another student of academic dishonesty about 3 months ago. the other student accepted the charge, but i did not because i did not do it. basically, that student copied my answers during a test without my approval or knowledge. i only found out that that happened when i asked the other girl if she did AFTER i received the email informing me about the charge from the professor. obviously, since im innocent, im trying to fight like hell to get it resolved. i studied my butt off for that test and i feel devastated for being accused of something i didnt do. i asked the other student if shed sign something where shed admit it but she refused and wants nothing to do with me

i have an appeal date in two weeks that i need to prepare for, but the thing is, im not sure how to go about finding evidence. all i have is my honesty. and i know professors dont pursue academic charges unless its pretty clear wat happened, and the circumstantial evidence is against me. but i know i didnt do it and im not sure how to prove it.

its so ironic. im the type of person that cant stand cheating. yet here i am.

advice ?

I hope it worked out okay for you. I know this is a late response since your post was in January, but did it all end up working out? did you win?
