I made a stupid mistake as a sophomore and I cheated on my science retake. I felt so bad I turned myself in. The supervisor was gonna stop me anyways. I now have a academic dishonesty and am about to apply to colleges soon. Does this information get sent to colleges? How will it affect my admittance? Can I somehow get this erased from my record?
If you get any academic consequences as a result of the cheating, it may affect you as you will have to note that in your applications. You could make up for it by explaining how you regret doing it and how you learned from your previous errors by explaining what other good things you’ve done and can do for the college.
