Academic Dismissal

Last summer I was recommended to be academic dismissed, but I was able to appeal it because I had mixed success. After I was appealed, I was unable to register for my classes because I had a financial hold. Now I am into the next semester and I don’t have the financial hold anymore but I was dismissed for not meeting the gpa requirements. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this or have experienced this before?

At this point clearly that college isn’t for you.

What was the issue? Not prepared for college? Not going to class? Partying too much? Not doing the homework/reading? Working too much? Family problems? Relationship problems? Health issues? Mental health issues?

What can you do about those issues?

Maybe you need to work less and study more.
Or take less classes at once.
Or find a college that matches your level.
Or get health/mental health under control.

etc.

The next step may be evaluate what you want to do.
Talk to the Dean at your current college about what is possible.
It may be that if you take classes at a different college and do well you could return.
Or you could decide to go to a Community College and take an amount of classes you can do well in and then transfer.
