Academic Disqualification; Help

I am a sophomore in college (CSUB) and I am about to finish my Fall semester. I am on academic reinstatement with a 1.7 GPA (not counting this fall semester). It seems like I am able to pass all my classes except one class that I am retaking. I am under a contract and cannot fail a class or I will face disqualification. For the most part, these courses so far are GE courses.

I will admit I may have not gone down the right path. I’ve accepted the consequences of my actions and sadly, I did outsource help too late. I am aware I put myself in this situation, and have accepted my possible fate. Although that is the case, I want to see what are my possible options if I were to get dismissed. I simply will not give up on my education and I want to overcome this and come back stronger.

I am aware that I cannot go to another 4 year university unless I improve academically. I am also aware I can attend a community college, but what are the odds of me getting into another school once I am able to improve myself and my GPA? I honestly would not like to return to this school, and I do not know if it is possible to even get into another CSU or even UC once I improve. What are the chances?

If anyone has gone through disqualification/dismissal and has been able to come back stronger, what were the steps that you took? Any advice?

Thank you for any help

I can’t answer your question at the end, but I wanted to suggest that you speak with your advisor, who may be able to explain what your options are. For example, could you withdraw now for the entire fall semester so as to wipe out you grades and credits? At least then the GPA wouldn’t suffer further.

that really seems like a prudent next step.
