Academic future after an MPA?

Just wondering what the academic options would be after one does an MPA...to actually use those credits earned for a continuing degree?

I was thinking definitely a PhD in Political Science focusing on public administration...but not sure...

Possibly Law...

Thoughts? I know it is a terminal degree... but if one were to go back for more education afterwards, what are their options from a practitioners useful perspective?

You can get a PhD in Public Policy

PhD in Pubilc Policy, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Education, etc.

Thanks for the posts, I’m wondering how much the MPA/MPP are interchangeable to an extent if you went from the Masters in that, to the Public Policy PhD instead of lets say, Public Admin… I guess it would behoove me to take a broad array of classes in the MPA.
