<p>“Brown has what are called concentrations, not majors.”</p>
<p>Lots of places call it a “concentration”. It’s still the same thing as a major.</p>
<p>At Cornell, a concentration is different from a major. A concentration is like a minor but can be even more flexible than a minor. For example, at Cornell students in any major could also have a concentration in education or information science.</p>
