Academic Probation

Fall quarter of freshman year at UCSB, I was placed under academic probation. As of now, (end of my winter quarter) I know that I will have a gpa higher than a 2.0. However, I know that for one of my classes this quarter I will either get a C- or D. Am I allowed to have a D if I am on academic probation???!!! I'm really scared!!!! I don't want to be kicked out of school.

This is what is on the UCSB website. However, it does not mention anything about getting a cumulative 2.0 with no C or D. I think it would be wise to consult with your academic Dean or post this on UCSB page here on CC.

“Students on academic probation will be returned to regular academic status if they raise their cumulative average to 2.0 or above by the end of their second quarter on academic probation.”
