Academic strenghts of LC and Rose Hill

In your honest opinion, do these campuses have a department in which they particularly excel?

I am wondering the same thing. Is LC more for drama and arts students?

Here’s a roundabout answer to your question quirky. Each campus is different because of certain perks which will appeal to certain types of students. Performing arts students, for example, will probably get a lot more from going to LC than RH because LC is smack dab in the middle of Manhattan. Lots of networks and connections can be made with all the right people when you’re at the heart of the city. Those who can get you places in the performing arts will be in Manhattan. If these drama students go to RH, they would have the extra hassle of having to commute to the city to network anyway. It makes sense that drama students will want to go to LC more than RH. That’s why there’s a high percentage of drama students there compared to RH.

Likewise, those who want to be scientists or researchers will most likely go to RH. This is because all the labs are in RH. LC is simply too tiny to hold laboratories. Also, most who are pursuing business will go to RH. CBA is housed there, and those who want to do law will probably go to LC because the law school’s there.

So you see, I don’t think there’s a singular department at each campus that are “particularly” excellent (Though Fordham has been boasting its law school). All programs at Fordham, I believe, are equally strong. I think you’d get your money’s worth studying anything offered by this school. The differences between the two campuses are because of personal preferences and convenience–that’s why you’re more likely to find performing arts students in LC than at RH.

Sorry this was long =/

Like the person above me stated, most performing arts majors decide to go to LC because its in Manhattan. However, most students at LC are not performing arts majors. It is a common misconception that all LC students are theatre and dance majors. Don’t get me wrong- LC is a great school for performing arts majors but it is a great school for other majors as well. Just want to make it clear that one will not feel out of place at all at LC if they are not a performing arts major.

I’m an econ/math major at the LC campus. All the guys in my suite are studying econ or are pursuing a communications media studies degree.

the fordham website is really confusing…

if i wanted to major in communications management (i dont remember the exact title of the major) then could I go to either school and study or is my major limted to one school?

communications & media mgmt - RH - MS
communications & media studies - RH&LC

Fordham wants freshmen to take classes at their designated campus. after the first year hello ram van.

So if I’m majoring in economics, where should I have applied?

You can select either campus since both offer econ as a major.
