Academically as well as Musically-good schools?

<p>Any suggestions to a college/university that is academically good as well as musically strong? I want to go into music education as a piano principle, but my grades are pretty good (97 unweighted, 99 weighted) so I don't want to give up that either.
I know about Eastman and University of Rochester, Northwestern, and McGill. I want to stay around the Northeast, preferably in or around New York.</p>

<p>Also-- Does anyone know about the Barnard-Columbia/MSM exchange? I want to learn more about that.</p>
