Accelerated Medical Programs

I want to get into a 7 year medical program, anywhere, but am not sure how to go about doing so. I'm currently a high school sophomore. Any suggestions or tips?

Virtually all the accelerated medical programs are highly competitive - even more competitive than any Ivy. If you’re good enough to get in one, you’ll be good enough to get in a regular med school after four regular years of college. Accelerated programs are an incredible grind - consider taking the conventional path, with much more flexibility in both your undergrad and med school, and you’ll be much happier in the end.

Any tips on activities to do and when to do research? I’m on Varsity Debate, swim team, track team, chess team, Future Doctors of America, and Physics Club. What should I do research and volunteer wise?

Why don’t you do some reading in the med/pre-med part of the forum?
