Acceptance into Georgia Tech from Southern Polytechnic University

In order to be able to transfer into Georgia Tech I have to take the following courses my first year in college

English Composition I
English Composition II
Calculus I
Transfer Calculus II
Linear Algebra for Calc
Mathematics Elective
Chemical Principles II
Intro Physics I
Intro-Physics II

I want to be an Aerospace Engineer and I want to transfer into Georgia Tech after one year. What should I do to increase my chances of getting in as a transfer student?

You have to take 4 math classes your first year? I don’t think SPU has the REPT anymore so Your best bet is to get all A’s because if you look at the transfer’s GPA they are really high.

Ya, I’m really disappointed that they don’t have the RETP at SPSU. But is there anything in additional I can do to increase my chances of getting accepted like Extracurricular activities, sports, etc… Please and thank you in advance.

Just read all you can on the GT transfer webpages. They have tons of useful information. But to answer about “anything in additional,” no. It is currently strictly based on GPA.
