<p>Okay so I got accepted to RPI but I was wondering why neither the online and mailed acceptance has the major that I applied to listed. It just says " pleased to invite you to join the rensselaer community as a member of Class 2017."</p>

<p>me too! I don’t understand it. But I think since RPI made us identify our major on the supplement they probably evaluated and accepted us on that basis. Just a guess.</p>
<p>I emailed with that question and received a response that my DS was accepted into the program that he indicated on the application.</p>
<p>I get the sense that many folks are contacting them about this.</p>
<p>I think they may not appreciate how other schools handle the letter.</p>
<p>To me, no mention of the major may indicate accepted as an undeclared and DS can attempt to get his major later, such as an impacted major at a UC.</p>
