So far I have been accepted once, defferred twice and rejected 3 times...every envelope has been the same size (very thin)...is there any truth to acceptance letters are almost always thick??????

Some schools send thick acceptance letters because they also send scholarship info, housing info, etc.

Some schools send thin accceptance letters because it's just an acceptance letter.

Different schools do different things.

I have heard of no one getting deferred/rejected with a large envelope, but it seems the thin envelopes could mean anything in terms of acceptance or not.

Can't always judge by the envelope...

MIT sends there acceptances in confetti filled tubes

so far I've only recieved one acceptance. it was in a really thin envelope. it included an offer for one of their top scholarships too.
it was my safety though.

but you really can't tell.
