Acceptance to Recognition - daily life

We always ended up getting up and falling out about 15 minutes before reveille. It was always entertaining to hear reveille go off and hear other cadre shouting at their basics to get up while you were forming up to go to the latrine.

AZ the same thing happened to me.... that was a good cookie though!

i woke up the first morning and put on my full abus then came to find out it was only 11:30 !

LOL

Ah memories...
I would always confuse the train rumble as the generator turning on (our flight's signal to get up). It would be like 0200 or some rediculous time like that.

Our cadre gave us a "hint" that train meant we had about 15 minutes.
Imagine that first night...14 girls. Each one woke up at a different train and yelled at everyone to get ready and roll up the tent flaps. aaaaaaaaaugh! :D it was funny though.
"no really...we've only been asleep for an hour! go back to bed!!!"

Are you allowed to have alarm clocks now? Or can you still hear that train from the dorms?

fortunately, we cannot hear the %$##@!#*%&@# train anymore. And yes, we are allowed to have alarm clocks now. How nice of them right?

lol no more train thank GOD!

alarm clocks and shoulder boards for the basics ;D

Brave men are we (and women)

hmm... does any know if either of my boys purchased any type of clock? I may have to go to walmart today and then to the post office!

You can still hear the train, if you live in Vandy Tower and you window is open.
