@aoeuidhtns Actually, the Dartmouth applications process begins with the regional admissions officer reviewing your application folder first - they view everything in the context of your school and your region. The next admissions officer views the applicant against the rest of the applicant pool (so you are partly correct). Then your application goes in front of the entire committee. Dean Coffin is the last gatekeeper. This is the general gist of what happens.
