Same with our counselor maMTma. I did email her a while ago just as a reminder but they had already done it.

Ours does not automatically send - I had to jump in to Parchment and request that they be sent.

When I called last week admissions mentioned they hadn’t received them. I thought our High school automatically sends them but need to double check. I asked if this was holding up her decision and the woman in admissions said no. So what are we to believe? I can’t imagine they have mid year grades on all the kids who have heard. So crazy!!

So we finally fell off the Ithaca abyss into the land of nothingness. D was rejected via mail, but guess what? Her portal is still alive! HAHHAHA anyways, was not the right fit for her anyway. Good luck to all of you who are left floating!

We have left Limbo land as well… a rejection letter received yesterday. It’s OK - not sure it would have changed anything about where she is in the decision making process at this point anyway.

Bumping this up in case anyone is looking here in 2015. Any sign of movement at MyIthaca?
I just got a rejection letter in the mail today
@Theatreplease so sorry, when was your audition?
My D’s MyIthaca account has been disabled. Darn it. She felt really good about that audition. Onward.
She auditioned on February 2nd in Chicago.
Is a disable always a rejection? (Dumb question, I know, but my S really was hopeful about this one)
@DramaSarge I have read of no instance on CC where this was not the case. It seems the disabling always results in a “decline” letter. And so far this year, that has been the case. HOWEVER, to my knowledge there have been no acceptances this year to date either. I suppose it is possible, though not at all likely, that Ithaca is disabling ALL accounts this year once a letter has been sent. When the first acceptance of the year comes in (and an account is still active) we will know for sure. But until then, you’ll just have to see what the mail brings this week, and unfortunately, its likely a no.
Thank you, @Tramsmom I figured as much. Its kind of bitter, we are so new at this, and didn’t even find this resource until this week. My S only auditioned at 2 programs. Not that we are that arrogant, just that we couldn’t afford to go to 10, so we picked the ones he wanted most. We had no idea how restricting that would be. Oh well, thank you for the response, it helps to hear it and move on. Break legs to your kids!
Can only speak from our experience – disabled then letter in snail mail a couple of days later. I know, we really were impressed by the program, too.
Has anyone heard yet about MT acceptances? My son auditioned at the nyc unifieds.
Thanks
Nope! Crickets… sigh.
I just read of a girl that was accepted to MT
Notified how?
They just announced on the site that they are putting up acceptances before 7 am tomorrow. Good luck friends
Are you stalking about the announcement on myIthaca about the site being unavailable Wednesday morning toll 6:45 am? Or something else??
