Yayyy!for Kayyyyy! I am so glad for her and your family! I thought she did very well that day when my D met you at the CMU audition. Give her a big hug and go out and celebrate.

Where do we go on the website to see our status?

Go here to check your status but you have to have your admission id

Good Luck to you!

How exactly do we find our application ID. I can't remember if our application receipts were sent via email or through the mail.

I just spoke to admissions and they said letter started going out last Friday and will continue to be sent for the next two weeks. SO nervewracking!

I checked online but under decision it was blank. Does that mean anything (like maybe they haven't made up their minds about me yet)? Or is it just because they don't update online very well?

And btw congrats to your daughter kaysmom! :)

See my note above. The decsions are trickling out over the next two weeks and my understanding is that nothing gets posted online until 3 days after the letter is mailed.

has anyone gotten a rejection letter yet? it seems the only people who have heard are the acceptances...

I just called the actual drama admissions office (not the CMU admissions) and the woman was very nice. I was asking if I may be able to find out when the decision letters were going out due to scheduling, and she politely said that all accepted MT students have gotten phone calls, so it's safe to assume that I should make other arrangements. I don't know what this has to do with anyone on the waitlist, however.

kingsandcabbages- "she politely said that all accepted MT students have gotten phone calls"

so......does that include straight acting students as well? (as in...EVERYONE has gotten a phone call who has been admitted? or just all the MT students?)

I got a different story! She said that wasn't necessarily true and that letters were still being sent! Iwish they would have consistent stories...

These posts were all within the past few days:

two people said:
drama*queen: ?CMU has so far notified roughly 20 people for both their drama and mt programs. They notify people in waves the first was last week, this week is another and next week is the last. They accepted 10 MT majors and 18 drama. I hope that helps.?
(not sure where/how this info was received)

two other people said:
ActorARS1: ?I called them (CMU) and they have already informed everyone that has been initially accepted. Now they are making acceptance calls to people who were on the waitlist; a couple people must have turned it down when they heard the news on the phone. It doesn't matter if you auditioned in LA, Texas, or Pittsburgh.?

**In terms of the 1st post (dramaqueen), I?m not sure how this info was received. travellinghopefully, they might still be sending letters (including acceptance letters), but two people (ActorARS1 and kingsandcabbages) have called the admissions office and confirmed that they?ve already notified all the people accepted. The people who will be getting the acceptance letters (according to those who called admissions) would not be surprised with getting an acceptance since they?ve ?already [been] informed?

I?m definitely an optimist by nature, but, for me, getting high hopes has often, in the past, set me up for a loooong and painful fall. Thus, though I still have an inkling of hope for CMU, I?m not placing my bets on it... I?m preparing myself for an almost sure reality. Who knows, maybe I?m on priority waitlist and something will happen (though is waitlist automatically priority???). Maybe I?m just meant for another school of training. We will see, but hey- no matter what I?m still following my dreams!!!

I got a call from Gary Kline a little over a week ago and he told me I got in as well for musical theater... excited!! Now I have to convince my mom to let me go despite how expensive it is...oh my name is Donovan
