Just received acceptance letter in mail today that said I am a W&M scholar. Super excited! It said that as a scholar, my full in-state tuition will be paid and I live in-state so that's perfect. But I called and a lady told me I will have to pay room and board, which is almost 9000. If my EFC was around 6000, will I receive need-based aid in addition to the merit scholarship? What kind of total financial aid package can I expect?

Congratulations NYC dreamer!

The W&M Scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees. Room and Board (approximately $8400 this year) is not covered. If you applied for financial aid you could still receive it depending on the information provided in your FAFSA and CSS Profile. Financial Aid award letters will be released in early to mid-April via email.

If you don’t mine sharing, nycdreamer, what are your stats?
