Accepted into UF with a low gpa?

I have a 3.1 cumulative gpa, and am looking to transfer from a public state community college with an associate of arts degree and am applying to the sociology program for the fall semester.

The sociology program at UF has minimum of 2.5 cumulative gpa to be competitive in the selection process, and a major like pyschology or physics has a 3.5.

With a 3.13 gpa, a great letter of intent and an associate of arts degree from a floida state public community college, will that get me into the sociology program at UF? What are my chances?

Have you asked an adviser at your college about their transfer agreements and experiences with UF transfer admissions?
They would know much better than anyone on this site.
