Just to inform some of you questioning RD/ED2 (lol, I have knowledge in this area because someone thought I applied ED2, but I just applied RD).

The reason your friend got his decision in February is because he was a Buntrock finalist (we go to campus for interviews on the 14th). I guess StO just sent our acceptance letters early.....:); no ominous sign, you just didn't get the Buntrock, but that's okay! You still have opportunity for other scholarships and most definitely admission!

dpattzlover: Thank you for your explanation :D. when I hit this site for the 1st time, the information of you guys being shortlisted for that scholarship did hurt me so much lolz. however, I can now calm down my nervousness, and keep on waiting for my decision (which will come late march, won't it?)

Just received my acceptance packet for RD. Does anyone's St. Olaf gmail work after activating your account? It keeps saying username or password is wrong. Maybe it's just not in the email system yet, because I can check everything else except that.

tttony, i don't think the gmail thing works. i tried logging in today several times, but it won't work. congrats on your acceptance!

tinyhe - I got a mailed packet yesterday. It's a yellowish goldish envelope with a small little black folder. I'm sure you'll get it soon. I got it quite early b/c I live like an hour away from St. Olaf. Good Luck!

And then type in your username that was generated and the password you made. After 5 minutes or so, login and it should work. At least that's how I got it.

ottest09, as of right now, St. Olaf is in my top 3. I've been accepted to my number one but it really just depends on the fin. aid package because I like all three schools equally. Apparently from the letter, we should get the package 2 weeks after the dated letter. I hope it's soon because I'd really like to make my decision soon.

@mistofolis,i also got the acceptance e-mail three days ago!i was so excited!! i think i am gonna go...though still waiting for the FA package...hope it is really need-based...mind I ask where are you from?are you gonna go?

Got my Fin-Aid Pack today, with 5.5k merit scholar and 10k in grants and 2k in work study, brought cost down to about 29,000 which would mean taking out about 15k a year in loans.

While the FA package met our EFC of 28k, there is still no way I can afford Saint Olaf.

Has anyone else received fin aid package from St.Olaf?? I haven’t received even the acceptance package, and it’s been 13 days since the day Jenny sent me the e-mail. I’m really exhausted with this waiting process…
