Accepted? Unsure about GW? Read this...(Advice from a current freshman)

Green_Apple5: Have you considered the Mount Vernon campus? A decade ago, GW basically annexed a small women's college (that Courtney Cox from Friends actually went to, btw). It's between Georgetown and American geographically, if that helps - a very "suburban" area of DC, with lots of green grass and tennis courts, a pool, etc. It's a beautiful campus and there are classes up there. I have friends who live on the Vern (as we call it) and they really like it - they can go to class in the city, then escape it at night. If you come down for the April Visits, I highly suggest touring the Mount Vernon campus if you haven't already.

Multitasker - hells-yeah! The sheer amount of awesome speakers GW gets should be reason enough. The College Republicans hosting Sen. Sam Brownback for a dinner last night...Muhammad Yunus at Lisner a few months ago...Rahm Emmanuel at Commencement...love it.

Spwll08, thanks for the advice! I need to wait on financial aid, but if that is good I will definitley try to visit campus, for sure. The Mount Vernon campus seems like good place to be.
