Congradulation sdkdad!!!

That's awesome. I checked the CC Magic 8 Ball and it said that she was a shoo-in!

Seriously, my S didn't apply to Mercersburg for one reason...time ran out and it just didn't fit into our travel itineraries. We really only started to delve into this on Columbus day, when we traveled to a nearby BS just to see what was going on. But everything we saw and heard about Mercersburg was impressive. His favorite teacher is the mentor to a teacher at Mercersburg and encouraged my S to check it out. We just had to draw a line. In the end you can only attend one school. And Mercersburg just happened to be a bit too far off the beaten path for us. But, yeah -- WOW! -- congratulations!

Same to you Prepto! I don't mean to gloat, but it has been a stressful time for our family during the application process, as it has for everyone.

Super job!

D'yer, Mercersburg is the perfect fit for my daughter. It is a 2 hour drive for us. Actually, she applied late, and if you told me a month ago that my daughter would be even considering boarding school, I would tell you way. Mercersburg is such a good fit for her. This last month has been a blur.

The advice that we received from some of the posters on this forum was invaluable, particularly in making the switch from parochial to boarding school. Thanks again!

Congratulations!

How did your daughter's SSAT go?

Dancer, my daughter took the SAT as an 8th grade for JHU CTY and they accepted those results. She will take the SSAT on April 21st, which is required of all students, even if accepted. Thank you for asking.

Congratulations! Mercersburg is a great school, and having your daughter only 2 hours away works well -- close enough to see events, but not to hover! My son goes to Blair in NJ; both schools are part of the MAPL, so our paths might cross at some sports event.

Mercersburg was on our initial list of schools because it met all the criteria. However, it was just too far away for us, and we had a good number of schools a bit closer to home. Last fall, we stopped at the campus on a trip to Virginia. It's beautiful, and the students looked happy.
