Accepted!!!!!!

USC is not the best private school. It is very overrated.

Of course it is. USC doesn't even come close. But it's extremely popular

Sorry, I meant:

Of course it is highly overrated.
Of course it isn't the best.

Nobody said it was.
It's not overrated, it's just popular.

Annenberg is really good, though.

Sorry, I meant:

Of course it is highly overrated.
Of course it isn't the best.

Nobody said it was, anyway.
It's not overrated, it's just popular.

Annenberg is really good, (maybe not good, but reputable) though.

In reply to Sirwatson1,

The email wasn't an acceptance email. It was a scholarship award notification (the actual subject). And of course, it implies that I got in but still it was an acceptance email. Not, 'Congratulations, you've been selected as..' but it was 'Congratulations, you've been awarded...'

I don't know about the admission decision. Seems like most people heard about that long since. Maybe mine got lost in the mail, I'll find out. Or is it strictly on April 1 that decisions are released.

So I'm still expecting admission envelope.

I got the half-tuition scholarship! I just received the e-mail. Unfortunately, half-tuition isn't enough for me. =(

From what I have heard from my counselor and from what I have experienced, USC has the worst admissions department. They are always late or mucking around somehow. It would be so much easier to post decisions online since we use that medium to apply anyway. They are just the worst! lol. They have lost my things and I always have to wait 20 minutes to get on the phone to speak to them. They website had problems and Grr. . .

I disagree, Sirwatson1. It is common knowledge that University of Miami has the worst record in handling applications.

Jrock, you may be very right. Remember, I live in California. Here we don't even consider the rest of our country. I have never even heard of the school. Californians are so isolated from the rest of the country; we only know about California. But I think it is fair to say that in California USC is known for erring quite often in concern to their admissions department.

yeah Sirwatson1, I totally agree with you about USC within the Californian context. I haven't received my acceptance in the mail yet. And I'm sure I should have received it last month. I really wonder why one cannot check decisions online. I wouldn't have known I got in if I didn't get the scholarship award notification email on April 1 which actually assumed I had got my decision long ago.
