Just checked the mailbox and I saw a big fat envelope and I just screamed. I had just sent my transcript/counselor stuff monday, so I am shocked that my stuff was mailed there, then reviewed, then mailed back in less than a week. O well, I have checked and it’s not a mistake! I never expected to be so happy, but I guess everyone feels this special when accepted somewhere. Plus, this was by no means a safety school, so yay for me. Can anyone tell me what the University of Wisconsin mascot is??
And has anyone else heard back yet from a rolling admissions place? Share your joy in knowing that you are at least going somewhere!

Sure! On my acceptance letter, it said that I was accepted to The College of Letters and Sciences. My prospective major is International Studies, but it didn't mention that on my acceptance letter.

I am from Georgia (which is great for geographic diversity). They mentioned that all the U.S. states and territories are represented there, so maybe I was the token person from GA.

My stats are:

3.96 UW GPA
Ranked 19 out of 434
My SAT sucks: 1190 600V 590M
ACT: 28
Forgot to do teacher rec(optional)
Took rigorous courseload(5 APs by graduation, an IB class, Calculus, French VI, several classes at a local college).
My ECs were OK: President of NHS, on tennis team, blah blah blah

So yeah, you probably have a really good chance if I got in. Good luck! I just bought a Wisconsin T-shirt.

Congrats- I know that a hughe weight has probably been lifted that no matter how the rest of the process plays out, that you have been accepted to a school which you are happy attending

Yes, it's UW-Madison. There is no ED or EA, it's just regular rolling admissions. So, it is not binding. I applied online a month ago, and sent my ACT score 2 weeks ago. However, my supporting credentials, transcript, and counselor form was not mailed until monday(I had it in my hands this monday at the counselor's office). Monday was Columbus Day(mail didn't run), so it would have had to have traveled from GA to Wisconsin, then reviewed by the adcoms, then mailed back in less than 5 days. It is kind of incredible. I was in complete shock to see it back already. I wouldn't worry, though, I think that I just got lucky or something.
