I got into arts and sciences with a 6,000 scholarship. I doubt I'll be going though because I also got into Binghamton which is about 25,000 less even with the scholarship.

accepted to A&S/Newhouse!! annoyed because MySlice isn't working!!!

Yea i didn't think i'd get fin aid at first since i didn't apply for any but i got another email telling me to check myslice but its not working im guessing it has something to do with the amount of people using it

Yea, MySlice is absolutely gridlocked right now. It bothers me a little bit because it's just about time most of the East Coast should be going to bed, so a little open space should appear sometime soon X|...

ElBlufer: If you don't mind me asking what were your sat scores?
I'm curious about why i didnt get a bigger merit scholarship because I am 140 points above their 75% percentile in sat scores. Did anyone get a 12,000 scholarship?

GossipGirl17: ElBlufer wrote that he got a 2060 on his SAT and 31 on his ACT.

I didn't get any scholarship! Not that I really expected it, 1800 SAT and a 3.2 UW GPA (Yeah, I made some bad decisions freshman&sophmore year...) I also didn't file for financial aid, I wonder if that has anything at all to do with it? I think I'll still probably be going to Syracuse though.

Thanks for telling me!

I GOT IN!!

haha idk whats wrong with me or why i didnt see that... sry

I got in and got the founders scholarship (the $12,000 one)

stephrad21 what is your sat score and gpa?
I just want to know how qualified you needed to be to get the founders scholarship

Accepted!!! Got the e-mail yesterday from the financial aid office, $6,000 scholarship included. I'm a bit confused, though, because the e-mail provided all the information on the scholarship and financial aid yet there was no mention of which school I got into. My guess is that I got into Arts & Sciences, I applied to Newhouse as well, yet there is no conspicuous indication within the e-mail. How did other people find out which programs they got into?

It said so right in the first paragraph.

GoosipGirl 17
I got in and also got the founder's scholarship ($12,000)

I got a 2050 on the SAT, (1380 w/o writing) and a 30 on the ACT

I was accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences.

oh! has anyone heard anything about the honors program?

I have a 2030/1320 and a 3.76 in a very competitive private school in addition to great essays. I just can't imagine why I got the smallest merit scholarship. I also applied to arts and sciences. Any ideas?

Founders scholarship ($12000) and honors program. SU is out of my list.
SAT 1520
gpa 4.0 (UW)

okay i got in with 6000 dollars per year, but i didnt get an actual acceptance letter. all i got was an e-mail from the finaid department telling me that i got a scholarship and to check myslice. that was also weird b/c i didnt apply for financial aid or set up a my slice. so basically, i know i'm in with a scholarship...but idk what major or school i got into lol....this happen to anyone else??

I was accepted on Friday. =)
I received a 14100$ grant, but myslice didn't say anything about a merit award, which is dissapointing. I had a 1890 SAT and 29 ACT. I was hoping for atleast the small one! haha. Apparently, gossipgirl, they are being more selective about their merit scholarships. Last year, a girl i know that had a 1700 SAT received the smallest award. Although your stats sound like you should have gotten the higher one.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that my school doesn't commute GPAS? I had to do mine myself and maybe they didnt feel like going through all my grades since freshman year and computing a gpa.

Oops, I put the wrong stats. I got 1810 and 28. I don't think syr lets you combine scores...
