When I go to my CAESAR page, there is a link that says "Accept/Decline Financial Aid". When I click on it, it shows an Aid Year (2011), but under "Aid Year Description", it says "Award access not available". Do I have to make my tuition deposit before I can accept that, or is there something I am missing?

you have to sign that financial aid letter they sent you and you’d have to mail it… it says that for mine as well… but i think u have to do it via snail mail

I was never sent a financial aid letter. <.< I can print it out online, but we never got one in the mail.

Good to know, though. =) I’ll get it printed out and do that.

You should call the fin aid office. It’s an agreement that u have to sign with stuff like “I understand that…”

and there’s a space for your signature

They’ll probably mail you another financial aid summary if you contact them and ask.

I waited and waited for my admissions packet, and then finally last week I emailed and asked about it. They sent me another one and I got it two days later. I guess somebody lost the first one. All that to say, this stuff happens and it’s definitely worth a phone call or an email.

Is it the exact same thing you can print off of the CAESAR website? I printed off a letter that has the basic rundown of things, a space for me to put other grants/scholarships I have, an agreement for me to sign, etc. I can’t imagine there’d be something else?

It has the same financial aid thing like (Pell grant=2347 or work study=blahblah) but there’s an agreement with certain like info it’s like a contract or agreement to inform you of stuff (there’s like 2-3 paragraphs of words).

You should def call/email.

Yergh! My mom just told me she’s had a letter for a couple of weeks. She couldn’t have told me?

Though, I already printed out another award letter. I think it’s the exact same thing you guys are talking about. Have any of you logged onto your CAESAR profile yet? If you go to “view financial aid” and then to “print award letter”, is it the same thing? It has a long “blahblahblah” agreement like:

"I have read and I understand the requirements and conditions applying to financial aid as stated on both sides of this award notice and in any additional information for financial aid recipients included with this award.

I understand that I have rights and responsibilities as a recipient of financial aid and that I can access a full description of these rights and responsibilities as well as other consumer information on the Northwestern University web site at http://www.northwestern.edu/sfs/consumer.html."
