Accessing decision

So, we get our decisions by logging onto the Yale website, no?

I have a problem - I can't access any Yale website from my laptop, and I have no idea why. I've tried using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox to no avail.

Any suggestions as to how I can overcome this problem?

Opera** **** **** **** **** **** **** **?

What does it say when you try?

What error does it give?

Google chrome says that the page is currently unavailable and asks me if I want to try viewing a cached copy of the page.

Firefox Internet explorer just doesn’t load.

Opera’s not available in my area.

You sure you are trying to load the right page?

Yup - I can’t access ANY Yale website, not even yale.edu

Wow, that is very odd…

Try delete your cookies in your browsers, perhaps remove search histories etc etc.

That is all I can think of, but no idea what could be wrong.

Have you tried using another computer, like a library computer?

Re-installing Firefox might help =)

Conspiracy theory: The Adjustment Bureau does not want you attending Yale.

Not sure if this will work for RD, but this was the EA decision website: https://secure2.its.yale.edu/acas-ea/?service=https%3A%2F%2Fapply.yale.edu%2Fdecision%2Fadmit%2Fapplicant

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to admissions.yale.edu
Try reloading: admissions.yale.edu/application-status-information
Additional suggestions:
Access a cached copy of admissions.yale.edu/application-status-information
Go to yale.*edu

That’s what shows up. I’ve tried deleting history/cookies/etc to no avail. Reinstalled Firefox and Chrome.

Can’t use a library computer because the library is ridiculously far away from where I live. Will probably force my best friend to check for me using her blackberry.

What do you mean Opera is not available where you are? Since when did they have regional restrictions?

Well you could check on you cell phone as well! I checked my application status on a variety of cell phones from smart phones to really simple internet-enabled phones. NBD.

Download Safari browser from Apple website…never fails

I mean that when I try do download it they say that something about international law prevents people in my Area from downloading Opera.

Thanks anyway guys, I decided to just wait for the mailman :)

I’m sorry to inform you but this happened to my son last year. They wouldn’t let him access his account so we called Yale on admissions day and they told us my son got rejected because he requested for a password reset too many times. They said that we only take students who know how to use a computer and are capable of remembering simple log in information. Again sorry to hear this and best of luck. Try again next year! Dream hard!

^Post history says you’re lying.

This post suggests that you don’t get sarcasm.

Or maybe I only get it half the time.

^I understood the sarcasm, which is why I looked up his post history to prove it to other people who might have not.

^I think you are underestimating the world if you think people couldn’t pick up on the sarcasm. A school rejecting a student because he tried to reset a password?

I think you’re just covering yourself.
