<p>Does anyone have experience with either the Accountancy MAcc Program or the combined BS/MAcc Program at Miami? Specifically, is one option preferred over the other? Do students do an internship? Our S is looking at Miami for Fall 2014, entering as a freshman. He is comparing the Miami MAcc programs to Penn State's programs. Penn State does the combined program in 5 years, but they require an internship during one of the semesters. Doesn't look like Miami requires an internship, unless we missed it, and we're wondering if that's how students can complete it in 4 years. Thanks.</p>
<p>The 3/2 option was just announced last year - so I don’ t believe there are many/any people who can comment comparing the two programs. </p>
<p>My son is a senior accounting major and will be applying for M.Acc. programs over the next few weeks. Through campus interviews he has an internship with one of the Big 4 already secured for next summer. But that summer internship also rules out UIUC 's masters program which has a mandatory June start. </p>
<p>My reading of Miami’s M.Acc. website does not show an internship as a required component - but rather a likely option.</p>
