Accountant Major

So recently, I decided to pick my major as an accountant/ business management major. I am typically in love in math. I was the first person in my school to get a 100 average from the most difficult "regular" math teacher in the district. Even though I'm in all regular classes, my math teacher is known as the teacher who challenges his class above and beyond the standards of the curriculum. I have about a 3.9-4.0 GPA; however, I am not that pleased since I'm in all regular classes. My friends and my guidance counselor told me that it's still very good. Anyways, I'm taking the 3 hardest AP classes next year, which are AP Chemistry, Calculus AB (going to summer school for pre-calc first), and AP Government and Politics. Sadly, I'm not taking the College Accounting class next year, mainly because it doesn't fit my schedule. I heard that you have to take it in college anyways, so it doesn't really matter, does it? Also, I am in 5-6 clubs, and i did alot of extra-curriculars and volunteer work. I am going to be a treasure and maybe a secretary for two of my clubs. So the question is, Do you guys think that I have a good chance of getting into some good business schools, such as SUNY Binghamton, NYU Stern, CUNY Baruch, and possibly, Boston University and Boston College?

Okay…

You will find Accounting boring if you love math…

^ seriously. Be a math major if you like math. Basic “add, subtract, multiply, divided” isn’t for people with such a strong math passion like you say you have.

These comments offer tremendous amounts of insight for this OP…

Very generally, your credentials look promising. BC and Stern are some of the top undergrad business programs on the East Coast. BU is adequate, and Binghamton and Baruch are “A schools for B students” IMO.

So how about Accounting major and Math minor? I’ve seen some kids doing it…
