Accounting Hiring Outpaces Economy and hits new record

<p>There was a recent article in CPA trendlines entitled, "Accounting Hiring Outpaces Economy, Hits New Record." Tax, Accounting and payroll firms added 2,000 new jobs last month alone.. This is the ninth month in a row of growth. When I recommended accounting as one of the better majors, I knew what I was talking about.</p>

<p>Do you have any information, or thoughts, on an accounting major for other types of jobs like corporate finance, etc?</p>

<p>Accountants have always been known to be used for other types of jobs including many financial jobs that one would think only finance majors would qualify for.</p>

<p>Yeah I have noticed there are a good amount of CPA’s that are CFO’s of companys.</p>
