Accounting Programs: Irvine or UCSB?

Hello Everyone,

I’m torn between Irvine and UCSB. I have heard that UCSB’s rigorous econ and accounting course is very difficult but is also very beneficial if you can cut it. However, I have not heard too much about Irvine’s accounting program. That being said, I think recently Irvine was ranked higher than UCSB for business majors.
I have also applied to Berkeley and UCLA, but I think my chances at those two schools are very slim. Right now, UCSB has accepted me and Irvine has not yet replied, but I think I have a good chance of getting in to Irvine.
I know that UCSB has the “party school” reputation and is supposed to have a beautiful campus, and Irvine is supposedly a bit quieter. But those things aren’t that important to me. I’m just wondering if anybody knows which school is better for accounting and business majors, in terms of future recruitment, etc. Does anyone know?

Thank You

Santa Barbara is the slightly better choice when it comes to academic reputation (Econ) and campus life.
