Bossgirl517: You should have said, "I am not your average high school student."

Well I didn't want to get into trouble by acting disrespectful. So I didn't put up a fuss about it. After all my average in the class was extremely high so I just didn't want to get upset about it. You know how some teachers are when they feel that they are being undermined by a student. lol

i have. it was so stupid. it was in art class

i had this picture of myself when i was little, siting on a tire swing. so i made an oil painting out of it, to hand in for a project (it was a dam good painting too)

so i got a 64, because my dumb art teacher thought the image wasnt mine or w/e. so i had to spend the whole weekend looking for the picture, which i just had like a week ago... argh i could not find it. but then i finally did and i showed it to him, but he saw that it was me, and then accused me of plagiarizing my dads work (since my dad photographed the picture). yeah i didnt even know that was wrong... i mean i was IN the picture! so it was all crazy... but it got resolved and i ended up with a 93. i dont know why... i should have got 100! grr

and that teacher did the same thing for about 5 other kids... like one boy drew a dragon on a castle or something, so he got a 64 too. but he got away with it, saying it was from his mind... which is true as far as i know. that teacher really pi55ed me off!! i mean he wrote the 64 in big red numbers on the back of my pretty picture!! he didnt even ask me or anything... butt! lol

Oh yeah, twice already. Said my writing was too sophiscated for a second language student and oh my god, that first time I was just like what copying from someone else is the LAST thing I would do and then she apologized the next day. Then the second time it happened (in the same month) it was a physics report, I wasnt even surprised, just extremely confused. Still can’t get over the fact that they were accusing me of plagiarism because my writing exceeded their expectations. That’s how I learned to stop using words that would make people suspicious, but that line is subtle isn’t, I’ll never get to see my writing the way native speakers do.

Yes, twice in 6th grade. I didn’t know what plagiarism was, so I just sort of copied a website lol. Before that, I was doing work with my friend and we had the same answers so my teacher said we plagiarized and cheated. Nothing happened because I literally begged the principal to not tell my parents and that I wouldn’t do it again.

How is having the same answers as someone else on an assignment she said we could WORK TOGETHER ON considered plagiarism if everyone in the class did so…

Didn’t know what plagiarism was back in Elementary School. Created a website and basically just copied info from other sites. The teacher was suspicious but I don’t think she cared. x)
